Each piece was based on some of the violin CAPRICES and concertos of Niccolò Paganini. In 1951, Liszt revised the original version and retitled the collection GRANDES ÉTUDES DE PAGANINI, S. 141. ÉTUDE No. 3 is written in G-sharp minor and has been given the subtitle "La Campanella." Ferruccio Busoni (1866-1924) created concert arrangements of all six études between 1914 and 1921, completing LA CAMPANELLA in 1916 (BV B 68). Reprint edition. | Piano
| 17445 | FE431ADE-EA22-4A90-8112-9F030704733C | A715890 | Souvenir for Solo Violin and Orchestra | František Alois Drdla (1868-1944), commonly called by the Germanized spelling Franz Drdla, is best remembered as a prominent Czech violinist and composer of light music. His most well-known work, Souvenir for violin and piano, was written in 1904. German composer of popular music and musical prodigy Theodore Moses Tobani (under the name Adolphe Dumont, one of many pseudonyms insisted upon by his publisher as they thought the public would not believe one composer could be so prolific) arranged the work for solo violin and orchestra in 1913. Instrumentation: 1.1.2.1: 2.2.1.0: Timp: Solo Vn: Str (9-8-7-6-5 in set). | 1.1.2.1: 2.2.1.0: Timp: Solo Vn: Str (9-8-7-6-5 in set): Pno Cond Sc in set | |

| 17447 | FE5CD324-BB9E-4BDD-898C-2EA9195A2F64 | 10620190 | Amour Viens Aider for Marimba/Xylophone and Piano | Amour Viens Aider ("Love Thy Help") is one of the most performed arias in the operatic repertoire. It appears at the opening of the second act of the opera Samson and Delila, in a scene where Delila pleads to an ancient love deity to help her seduce and defeat the Hebrew warrior Samson. This arrangement by Paul Whear effectively translates the haunting aria to the solo percussion medium, allowing instrumentalists to play and enjoy a fine Romantic miniature. | Marimba/Xylophone Solo and Piano | |

| 17452 | FE6B02B2-5E20-4A9B-A9F8-2EC707026C0B | 50200055 | Beating the Rapids for Full Orchestra | A spirited, almost fiddle-like tune begins our journey down the river, with cascading 8th notes in each section. The drama builds with a modulation to D, with figures representing the whitewater rush. The G major section returns, leading to another modulation to C and a beautiful viola solo, backed by the other principal strings. The entire orchestra plays the more romantic and restful theme with our successful trip down the river to camp. This adaptation by the composer adds winds and percussion to the original for string orchestra, but is otherwise musically identical. | 2+1.2.2+1.2: 4.2.3.1: Timp.Perc(5): Str | |

Writing that his aim in setting the songs was for them to be "treated with love," Williams also transcribed these songs for violin, viola, and clarinet (all three available from the publisher along with the cello version) among other instruments. The first five songs in the collection are slow and quiet while the sixth, in contrast, is marked Allegro Vivace. Songs: I. Lovely on the Water, II. Spurn Point, III. Van Dieman's Land, IV. The Lady and the Dragon, V. She Borrowed Some of Her Mother's Gold, VI. As I walked over London Bridge. | Clarinet and Piano
