The mood of "Winter" is somber and sleepy to express the feeling of a cold and cloudy day. The mood of "Spring" is happy and carefree, as if released from the dullness of winter. Several options of instrumentation are included in this set, and the piece is also effective as a brass choir, using any or all of the parts provided. | Bb Trumpet, Trombone (Euphonium or F Horn) and Euphonium 2 (Trombone 2) | |

| 10048 | 92FB230D-BECD-4AE7-A2EC-667F9EEE5008 | 10100153 | Overture for Symphonic Band | Overture for Symphonic Band was composed in 1970 by Bin Kaneda at the request of the Yamaha Concert Band. This music was first performed by the Yamaha Concert Band at their regular spring concert in 1971 in Tokyo. The Overture is comprised of two movements - Andante and Allegro. The idea for the theme of the Allegro came to the composer during a Fall festival of the village in Shikoku Island, along the coast of the Inland Sea where he spent two years of his childhood. The Yamaha Concert Band won the Gold Medal award with the performance of this music at the All Japan Band Concert in the Fall of 1971. | Symphonic Band | |

| 10051 | 9304CD50-799B-44A2-B9EF-0F5AAD022F9C | S925 | Sixth Symphony | This symphony, commissioned by and dedicated to Roy Holder and his wonderful Lake Braddock High School Band, is both shorter and simpler to play than the composer's other symphonies, but it loses nothing in terms of integrity or profundity. The first movement, "Andante, ma non troppo," casts a brooding mood in the somber key of D minor, the second movement, "Adagio" is lyrical, while the final movement, "Allegro energico," begins powerfully before moving to a dreamy, ghost-like middle section before finally returning to the initial material. | Concert Band | |
