12502B6DF5185-3800-4199-B3DC-98EA366357DESO156CThird of Three: Theme from Symphony No. 3, Mvt. 3The Symphony No. 3 in C minor, Op. 78, was completed by Camille Saint-Saëns in 1886 at what was probably the artistic peak of his career. It is also popularly known as the Organ Symphony, since two sections out of four use the pipe organ. Of the composition Saint-Saëns said, "I gave everything to it I was able to give. What I have here accomplished, I will never achieve again." The composer seemed to know it would be his last attempt at the symphonic form, and he wrote the work almost as a type of "history" of his own career: virtuoso piano passages, brilliant orchestral writing characteristic of the Romantic period, and the sound of a cathedral-sized pipe organ. This arrangement for string orchestra is the serious, C minor 6/8 theme from the scherzo movement of the symphony.String Orchestra
12503B6E0EC47-5F1B-44D7-8C8A-70DF1BABFEBASS61COTrio for Flutes, Op. 51 No. 2This trio may also be performed on any other equal treble clef instruments. Benoit Tranquille Berbiguier (1782 - 1838) was a famous flute player. He was intended for the law, but the love of music being too strong for him, he ran away from home and entered himself at the Concervatoire in Paris. As a composer, he was very fertile in music for his instrument, both solo and accompanied - 11 concertos, many fatasias and variations, 140 duos, 32 trios, with quartets and symphonies. All three of Berbiguier's Trio for Flutes, Op. 51 are available from the publisher (edited by Elwyn Wienandt). 18 Exercises by Berbiguier (edited by Judith Thomas) is also available.Flute Trio

They were composed for clarinetist Heinrich Baermann and his basset horn-playing son, Carl Baermann, and they stand out as the only compositions Mendelssohn wrote for basset horn. He is one of the 19th century's most important composers and performers for the organ, counted together with other greats such as Gigout, Guilmant, and Widor. Saint-Saëns wrote the SEPT IMPROVISATIONS, Op. 150 for organ in 1917.Organ

In the midst of making final arrangements after Dorothea's passing and packing up before a move, a small black notebook was found in the back of a bookcase. In flipping through the pages, the poem by Dorothea, a well-known nature illustrator, was discovered. The poem is a prayer that, if her soul can only wander through the forests and nature that she loved, she would not mind so much leaving her life behind. The work is a beautiful work for those that wish to express their love for nature.Soprano and Violin
