It is unknown as to whom he originally intended to perform it, although he himself presented at least some of them to the public. It has been speculated that the violin concertos were written for the Italian violinist and Salzburg concertmaster, Antonio Brunetti, despite the lack of evidence that they were dedicated to him. The second concerto is distinguished from the others by its restrained elegance and simplicity. Instrumentation: 0.2.0.0: 2.0.0.0: Str (4.4.3.3.3 in set): Solo Vn in set. Albert Dietrich, a pupil of Robert Schumann, wrote the first Allegro movement, Robert Schumann composed the Intermezzo and the Finale, and Johannes Brahms composed the third Allegro movement. It was written as a gift to famed violinist Joseph Joachim, and the letters F. A. E. are taken from Joachim's signature "Frei Aber Einsam" (Free, yet lonely). The editors have closely followed the original in this edition, with a few necessary and annotated revisions within the violin part. | Violin and Piano

Mozart tried to satisfy Colloredo's demands for brevity and concision in the composition of this mass – none of the movements have an orchestral prelude, the orchestra itself is highly reduced, there is very little fugal writing, and much of the setting is homophonic. In 1793, the Lotter house published the mass posthumously; it was the first of Mozart's works to appear in print. | SATB, Organ, Continuo, Strings (No Vla)
