| 9183 | 86AB606D-0BC5-4B59-BD12-45669F03DB9E | 10540295 | Five Pieces in Folk Style, Op. 102 | The arranger was searching for a major work by a significant composer when these pieces for violoncello and piano, composed by Robert Schumann in 1849, were discovered. To lessen the range and tessitura problems for the euphonium, the pitch was lowered a major second and short rests were inserted where the solo part consisted of non-essential harmonic material. A few idiomatic string passages were rewritten to fit euphonium technique. In addition, all or any part of this solo can be effectively performed by the advanced trombonist. Although the pieces vary in technical difficulty, all require sensitivity and endurance. Because of the lack of advanced euphonium literature from this period of music, the publisher feels that these fine pieces make a welcome and much needed addition to the brass repertoire. | Euphonium Solo and Piano | |

| 9185 | 86B381DF-AD49-4295-9267-3B2FE102DD81 | B350202 | Clarinet Escapade | Clarinet Escapade by Russell Ward, is designed to present to the audience the virtuosity of the clarinet section of a concert band. The clarinet passages convey an impression of great technical difficulty, while, in reality, they all lie "under the fingers" and are well within the capabilities of the average clarinetist. | Concert Band | |
| 9186 | 86B8485F-EA2E-4C5F-B348-E316137AD263 | 10630491 | Declaration, Song, and Dance | Percussion professor and Rochester Philharmonic member Kristen Shiner McGuire has written this three-movement solo for four timpani, with each movement highlighting specific skills. The first movement make use of three distinct types of alternating stress: tenuto, accent, and marcato. In the second movement, pedaling techniques take prime importance. And the third movement maintains the pedaling from movement two but adds a variety of implements to strike the drums with widely varying beating points. It is a wonderful recital and contest work for the advancing timpanist. | Timpani Solo | |

| 9192 | 86D0CAA6-B907-4622-A3BF-1C34DDB0FCE9 | A823690 | Traviata, La [reduced orchestration] | LA TRAVIATA (The Fallen Woman) is based on "La Dame aux camélias" (1852), a play adapted from the novel by Alexandre Dumas fils. The opera was originally titled "Violetta," after the main character. Piave and Verdi wanted to follow Dumas in giving the opera a contemporary setting, but the authorities at La Fenice insisted that it be set in the past, ca. 1700. It was not until the 1880’s that the composer’s and librettist’s original wishes were carried out and “realistic” productions were staged. LA TRAVIATA has become immensely popular and is among the most frequently performed of all operas. This reduced orchestration by Osbourne McConathy is intended to make the work accessible to a wider number of opera companies.
