| 4963 | 47A6A374-BEB8-4472-B83A-B8522FBAED63 | M293691 | 11 Pezzi Infantili, Op. 35 (11 Children’s Pieces) | 11 PEZZI INFANTILI "11 Children's Pieces" were composed by Italian composer, pianist, conductor, and music critic Alfredo Casella in 1920. A varied and playful collection of pieces using various clever musical techniques to portray childhood. For example in several pieces (e.g., “Prelude”, “Carillon”) Casella has one hand play on the white keys and the other on the black keys. Thus, the harmony of the diatonic C major scale (white keys), competes with the harmony of the pentatonic children's scale (black keys). Pieces included: I. Preludio; II. Valse Diatonique; III. Canone; IV. Bolero; V. Omaggio a Clementi; VI. Siciliana; VII. Giga; VIII. Minuetto; IX. Carillon; X. Berceuse; XI. Galop Final. Reprint edition. | Solo Piano | |

| 4965 | 47AF01F3-2A34-4F9B-88A8-5CFFB12382B6 | TC518 | Diaphonic Suite No. 1 for Flute or Oboe | American composer Ruth Crawford Seeger is best known for her place in developing the modernist aesthetic, and she became a notable figure of a group of American composers called the "ultramoderns." She composed predominantly in the 1920s and 1930s, turning to studies on folk music from the late 1930s until her death. In 1930, the year she became the first woman to receive a Guggenheim Fellowship, Crawford Seeger composed four DIAPHONIC SUITES. DIAPHONIC SUITE No. 2, in four movements, was written for either unaccompanied flute or oboe, with the work equally finding performances on both instruments. Movements: I. Scherzando; II. Andante; III. Allegro; IV. Moderato, ritmico. | Unaccompanied Flute or Oboe | |

Donizetti's catalog includes more than a dozen works under the title "Sinfonia," with this particular early one composed in sonata form for flute, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 horns, and 2 bassoons already displaying the light, entertaining style that would become his trademark. They were written at the suggestion of Fritz Simrock of the Simrock publishing house in Berlin. Simrock requested the works after realizing Dvorak's MORAVIAN DUETS had inspired great public interest in Czech national music, and he suggested Dvorak create the SLAVONIC DANCES in a style similar to Brahms' recently successful HUNGARIAN DANCES. This collection is based upon the first book of eight dances, and is a fun, exciting showcase of Dvorak's masterful composition and two excellent pianists side by side. | Piano Four Hands

No. 6) has been arranged for solo brass instrument with piano accompaniment by Winston Morris. In 3/8, while at a reasonably fast tempo, the work offers intermediate players a perfect amount of technical challenge while also offering the opportunity to perform a song from the Baroque era with appropriate phrasing and musicianship. Version for trumpet, trombone, baritone B.C., and tuba are available from the publisher. | Cornet Solo and Piano
| 4980 | 47D564C9-ECF6-4DB2-A1FE-A72FE9D5E483 | 20537002 | Two Auras for Low Brass Quartet | The title "Two Auras" is a play on words. This arrangement presents the college song Aura Lee in two versions, first as a ballad, and then as a waltz. The melody is familiar dating back to the Civil War era, and also because of its revival by Elvis Presley who recorded it in 1960 under the title of Love Me Tender. Range is quite limited with only two high Eb’s in the first part and other parts equally restrictive, making this an excellent ensemble for younger players. It is scored for three euphoniums or trombones, and tuba as a quartet, but also can be effectively used as a low brass choir. | Trombone (Euphonium) 1,2,3 and 4 (Tuba) |
