| 15909 | E95E23CE-A70E-4978-BF16-DA61841236FE | SU319 | Concerto in c Minor (Attributed to Benedetto Marcello) | Alessendro Marcello (1673 - 1747) was a contemporary of Antonio Vivaldi and Tomaso Albinoni. The "Concerto for Oboe and Strings in D minor, Op. 1" is his best known work, a status affirmed by J.S. Bach's transcription for harpsichord. This C minor transposition is based on a 1717 manuscript, and suggests that C minor might have been the originally intended key. This version is often misattributed to Alessandro's brother Benedetto, another composer of the era. | Soprano Sax, Piano | |

This frees them up to produce a better tone, more varied dynamics, and smoothness in their bowstrokes. This also creates the confidence to play on all four strings. An ingenious idea for the beginning orchestra that's really fun to listen to! | String Orchestra | |

| 15913 | E96D3213-BF8E-4DA5-8888-371C84E641A9 | A589502 | Images pour Orchestre - No. 2: Iberia | Claude Debussy (1862-1918) had originally intended for Images pour orchestre to be a sequel to the first set of Images for solo piano. However, around 1905, he had decided to orchestrate the compositions rather than set them for two pianos working on them between 1905-1912. The work is written in three movements: I. Gigues, II. Ibéria, and III. Rondes de printemps (Round dances of spring). But each of the three movements are customarily performed individually much as they were published. The most popular is the Spain-inspired second movement, Ibéria, which itself is broken into three movements written between 1905 and 1908. Premiering February 20, 1910 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris by the Orchestre de Concerts Colonne under Gabriel Pierné, Ibéria was praised by Manuel de Falla for its authentic Spanish flavor and spirit, though Debussy had only spend a few hours in the country. In 1789, Baron Gottfried Van Swieten commissioned Mozart to create a modernized version for a concert in Vienna. This edition of Mozart's AND THE GLORY OF THE LORD arrangement is edited by English music theorist and composer Ebenezer Prout. It includes the original wind parts by Handel which Prout rediscovered and incorporated in his 1902 volume. Instrumentation: 0.2.2.2: 2.0.0.0: Org: Str (4.4.3.3.3 in set): Chorus.
