| 9621 | 8CCB0BE3-3816-4E90-BA19-D473C4822C79 | SU511 | Sonata Rubata | The title literally means "stolen sonata", a reference to numerous quotes that occur along the way. Some were intentional, some were discovered after the fact, but all are a tribute to music and musicians of the past. The work was originally composed to be played entirely on the C flute. Upon consulting with knowledgeable flute performers, alternate parts for alto flute and piccolo were written in as options for the 2nd and 3rd movements. | Flute | |

| 9624 | 8CCF33A8-CE3B-42AE-9F9A-398B2FCECC8C | A418402 | Symphony No. 25 in C (Hob. I.25) | SYMPHONY NO. 25 IN C MAJOR, Hob. I.25 by Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809) was probably composed between 1761 and 1763. Despite its C major disposition, the work lacks the expected parts for trumpet and timpani. Also unusually, it omits a slow movement. An adagio opening provides balance to the three-part structure and anticipates the slow introductions which so often appear in his later symphonies. | 9629 | 8CDCBEFC-8230-4C51-BE3E-6C31024691D7 | S960CB | A Swedish Melody, Haunting and Sublime: Ack Varmeland du skona | This arrangement is based on the Swedish folksong Ack, Värmeland, du sköna. ("Oh Värmeland, You Fair and Lovely Place"). The lyrics of the song speak of the beauty of the landscape and the wonderful nature of the people that live there. Although the folksong is presented with some alterations, an attempt is made to capture the attractiveness of the melody and the sentiments expressed in the lyrics. This piece was inspired by Gary Garner, who expressed a need in the band literature for pieces with artistic value that are appropriate for intensive rehearsal and public performance, are easy enough for many bands to play, and give the ensemble a chance to work on intonation, balance, and phrasing. | Concert Band | |

| 9634 | 8CF07C00-40A0-4E8F-BE07-0CE9A00113D1 | A273002 | Requiem (Messa da Requiem; Totenmesse) | Giuseppe Verdi (1813-1901) wrote his Requiem Mass for four soloists, double choir, and orchestra in 1874 in memory of Italian writer and humanist Alessandro Manzoni, whom Verdi greatly admired. It premiered on May 22, 1874, the first anniversary of Manzoni's death, at the San Marco church in Milan under the baton of the composer. The revised version was first performed the following year at Albert Hall in London. The oldest part of the work is a "Libera me" that Verdi wrote in 1868 as part of a collaborative Requiem project with other Italian composers following the death of Gioachino Rossini. After this project fell through, Verdi repurposed and revised the "Libera me" for the Manzoni Requiem.
