The first is in Eb Major, the second in Bb minor, and the third in C# minor. The first of these pieces, a tender folk-like lullaby, is the source for this band arrangement. Brahms gave this piece the marking "andante moderato," and the piece was so popular that Scottish words "Sleep gently, my child. Sleep gently and fair" were adapted to the melody, inspiring the title used in this publication.Concert Band

933388F7811D-15C0-4147-8A4A-E03537319DEA20712445Jesu, Joy of Man's DesiringThis well-known piece is based on a chorale by Johann Schop first published in 1642. Bach transformed it into a four-part choral composition, devising an obligato melody that has become one of his most recognizable pieces. In this arrangement for violin trio the obligato melody is transferred from one part to another in the first three voices so that all parts have the interesting melody. The chorale melody is also alternated between the three voices. A similar arrangement is available for violin quartet (20713476).Violin 1, 2 and 3
