Several of the titles coordinate with other books in the Easy Original Duets and Trios series and may be played in mixed combinations of instruments. There is even a very nice easier selection that can be performed with snare drum. Teachers looking for new and interesting material will be pleased to find several enjoyable selections in a variety of styles, suitable for players whose performance abilities range from beginner to intermediate levels. We enthusiastically recommend the easier duets and trios as first concert material. The note ranges in these selections are very limited and the writing style encourages independent thought.Trombone, Bassoon, Euphonium B.C.

70386780AA71-1BBC-4356-A2A9-458C1D4BA752A223502Lohengrin, WWV 75: Act II, Sc. 4: Solemn Procession to the Cathedral (Feierlicher Zug zum Muenster)Finished in 1848 and premiered in 1950 in Weimar, Germany, Richard Wagner's (1813-1883) LOHENGRIN tells a story of a tragic medieval German romance in the Knight of the Swan tradition. Elsa, a princess in Brabant, is rescued and wedded by a knight in shining armor who insists on remaining nameless. While everyone is familiar with the famous wedding march from the opera (commonly referred to today as "Here Comes the Bride"), "Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral" or "Solemn Procession to the Cathedral" is the actual wedding march, with Elsa and a long train of ladies proceeding slowly and ascending the steps of the cathedral. Musically expressing Elsa's innocent yearning and growing expectation, the choir sings as the orchestra accompanies. This choral score can be used for both the shorter orchestra version of the "Procession" (A2235) and also the longer opera excerpt of Act II, Scene 4 (A3915).
