Glass bottles lightly tapped with pencils make the sound of a gentle rain. Seagull sounds made with clarinet mouthpieces paint the picture of a lighthouse at the shore. What happens when little snakes get loose' Trombone smears, of course! Everyone has fun with this exotic sounding work.Band
229020462F06-ACEF-4CE3-BD4C-DCE27014A08AM214691Libro de Tientos: Vol. 1Francisco Correa de Arauxo (1584–1654) was a key figure in helping transition Baroque techniques into Spanish composition. Regarded as the finest Spanish organist of his generation, his works were regrettably long neglected, despite constituting a peak of organ literature in Spain and an exceptional bridge between the Renaissance and the Baroque, although interest continues to grow. His compositions, 69 works all for organ and progressively more difficult to suggest a pedagogical purpose, were published in 1626 in a single volume under the title Libro de tientos y discursos de música practica, y theorica de organo, intitulado Facultad organica. This edition, transcribed and edited by Santiago Kastner, has been released in eight volumes.Organ

22922049F627-752A-4B0D-9FB4-0CAE169D8EDC20513002Songs of JoyLouis Spohr is a lesser known German composer who lived at he same time as Beethoven. He was an outstanding violinist and is remembered mostly for his violin music, but also tried his hand at opera. The first song in this set of two pieces, “Proudly As The Eagle”, is a song of joy from one of his operas. It is followed by a college song, “Vive L’amour” which applauds the value of friendship. This ensemble was first very successfully arranged for trombone quartet, and now has been transcribed for trumpets. Range is not demanding with the first trumpet not above high G. Dynamics, style, articulation and phrasing have all been carefully marked to aid in the preparation of a successful performance.Bb Trumpet Quartet
