Premiering many of his works, they introduced to the world such gems as Sleigh Ride, Jazz Pizzicato, and The Syncopated Clock. In the 1950s, Anderson began to record his music under the Decca label, and out of these sessions came a short piece for orchestra, THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING, first recorded on June 25, 1954. A solo horn introduces the melody, which drifts through the orchestra into an idyllic finish. An American Pops classic in it's original scoring, this work is part of the Anderson Classics Series by E.F. Kalmus. 11627AA09806E-23F3-4154-B564-4A66B1FE4B61A233002Bagatelles, Op. 47/B. 79 for Woodwind EnsembleOriginally titled Mali?kosti (Bagatelles), Mali?kosti translating as "Trifles" in Czech, this cycle of five short pieces for two violins, violoncello and harmonium (or piano) was composed 1878 to add to the "home music" repertoire, music on a small scale and that is not too technically difficult. While the themes are less complicated, with fewer demands on the players, Antonín Dvo?ák (1841-1904) clearly brought the full force of his musicianship to bear on their composition, saying to his publisher while writing them, "I am now writing some small bagatelles for two violins and viola – just imagine! This work gives me as much pleasure as if I were composing a great symphony..." This arrangement for woodwind ensemble has been completed by Graham Sheen. The original key of F has been retained, and the optional harp part is embraced by the celli in definitive sections. This arrangement is playable by advancing ensembles, with expanded use of rhythms, ranges and keys but technical demands are still carefully considered. Includes viola T.C. parts and optional harp and piano.String Orchestra

Moving between a 12/8 and 4/4 march feel while maintaining the same tempo will also afford students to opportunity to transition from a triplet to duple feel without stopping.Trumpet Trio

11637AA501BC7-C3A2-440B-8BE2-CA29FC9303E3SU258All Through the NightThis lullaby is a beautiful example of Welsh folk music. Lullabies such as this were sung as assurance that all would be well until morning, conjuring images of watchful angels and peaceful slumber. The low register of the flutes is exploited, especially in the opening, to establish the mood of calm and serenity. Flute choirs which do not have access to alto or bass flutes will find this arrangement by Fred Allen to be a welcome addition to their repertoire, although at least two of the C flutes need to be equipped with a B foot joint. The arrangement can be performed effectively as part of a sextet by six solo players, or as a flute choir with multiple players on each part.Flute Choir
11638AA516359-6DCB-4C3F-AE3E-3E803EF5EFB210510190Amour Viens Aider for Trumpet and PianoAmour Viens Aider ("Love, Thy Help") is one of the most performed arias in the operatic repertoire. It appears at the opening of the second act of the opera Samson and Delila, in a scene where Delila pleads to an ancient love deity to help her seduce and defeat the Hebrew warrior Samson. This arrangement by Paul Whear effectively translates the haunting aria to the solo brasswind medium, allowing instrumentalists to play and enjoy a fine Romantic miniature.Trumpet/Cornet and Piano
