Floyd Harris has arranged the work here for a trombone trio with piano accompaniment. The work is a perfect selection for beginning brass players to take to contest or play at a recital. Versions exist for trumpet/cornet solo, duo, or trio, trombone solo, duo, or trio, and baritone solo or duo. Each version has piano accompaniment.Cornet Trio and Piano

15564E49CECFC-E30E-4682-A1EC-A79012189E31A516502Concerto for Cello No. 5 in C, Hob.VIIb:5 [attributed work, possibly composed by Popper]Cellist and composer David Popper published the CELLO CONCERTO No. 5 in C major, Hob. VIIb:5, in 1899 as a completion of stetches supposedly made by Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809). Due to more recent scholarship, the work is now believed to have been written by Popper himself. A blend of technical exploration and melodic charm, the concerto has become a familiar staple of the cello repertoire. It consists of three movements: 1. Allegro moderato, 2. Andante, and 3. Allegretto vivace. Instrumentation: 2.2.2.2: 2.0.0.0: Str (4-4-3-3-3 in set): Solo Cello.2.2.2.2: 2.0.0.0: Str (4-4-3-3-3 in set): Solo Cello

15568E4A913A1-22A6-467C-AAA9-59BF970BB03BS687CBLa Sorella"La Sorella" is truly an international march: the title means "The Sister" in Italian; it is described as a march on Spanish themes; the composer was French; and a 1906 American publication of the march (preserved in the Library of Congress) states that "the latest Parisian march craze" is a true Brazilian (!) dance, 'La Tortille', based on motives of the celebrated song 'Ma Peau d'Espagne' ('My Skin of Spain')." The march has appeared under a number of different titles, including "La Mattchiche" (or "Matchiche"), "La Mixixe" or "Polo". The march became popular rather quickly in the United States. The Sousa Band recorded "La Sorella" in 1906, possibly as a result of hearing the march during the band's tour of Europe in 1905. The march was again brought to the attention of the American public through its use in the soundtrack of the epic film "Around the World in Eighty Days".Concert Band

By Julius Fucik, justifiably called the "Czech March King", this "polka comique" came to the attention of the editor when he began searching for "concert in the park" bassoon solo pieces. The title is thought to be a musical portrait, either of Fucik himself or of some cranky older bassoonist that Fucik met in his long career. The score and parts encourage a comic performance rather than an exercise in virtuosity. Arrangements include: solo with piano (SU422), concert band (S776CB), and orchestra (A47C).Bassoon Solo, Concert Band

15574E4BCC8BF-595D-46B1-8A69-D839AF8D06FDR01286Concerto in One Movement for Organ and Chamber Orchestra: AlaskaConcerto in One Movement for Organ and Chamber Orchestra ("Alaska") was written for Madeline Schatz and the Arctic Chammber Orchestra. In one movement, the moods and tempos shift from a broad sustained beginning to a lively and rhythmic section, followed by a quiet, slower middle section. A brief organ cadenza introduces an extended, again lively and rhythmicc final section. Although the organ is prevalent almost throughout, there are also important statements and colorations in the orchestra. One may recognize a few borrowed musical references: a rhythmic patter of the Inuit; the first phrase of the "Passion Chorale" from the 16th century composer Hans Leo Hassler; and the traditional Hebrew melody, "Yigdal."Organ Solo 2(1d Piccolo).2.2.2: 2.2.0.0: Timpani.Percussion(1): Strings
