The waltz must be played sweetly with nice phrasing and vibrato to the point of sounding schmaltzy.and the rag in contrast is light and frivolous, but really not too rambunctious! The third part has quite a few glissandi which can be effectively play on euphonium using chromatic or diatonic runs. Treble clef parts are included. Lots of fun to be had in these two short pieces for players and audiences alike. |
