Marketing CopyNO BEGINNING, NO END is based on the text of an untitled poem by Peretz Markish. Markish is one of the the poets executed by the Soviet government on August 12, 1952 called the Night of the Murdered Poets. NO BEGINNING, NO END was first performed by the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra and Cincinnati Choral Society on October 30, 1983 commemorating the Night of the Murdered Poets. This concert was conceived as a memorial to the victims and also as a celebration of the indestructibility of art, culture and truth.
