| Title Name | Nibelungen March |
| Marketing Copy | Gottfried Sonntag was bandmaster of the 7th Bavarian Infantry Regiment at Bayreuth when he composed this march based on motives from Richard Wagner's "The Ring of the Nibelung." "Nibelungen March" was an immediate success, the piece has appeared in numerous editions. Among the arrangements which are readily available today is one by M. Villinger, often heard in Europe. This edition by Tommy Fry is not so much a new arrangement of the work as it is an edition for American band instrumentation of Villinger's arrangement. Great care has been taken to preserve the unique quality of this German arrangement while making it accessible to bands with more contemporary instrumentation. |
