Much like his saxophone concerto Rush, this work is written using materials from Fuchs' 1988 musical The Great Nebula in Orion, though it is here filtered through Duke Ellington's Mood Indigo. Fuchs dedicates this work in honor of Amy Dickson's COVID-19 Solo Sessions.
