Program NotesThe two movements of Flutogram are both based on the
letters of the name Carol Wincenc, for whom it was
written.
I translated the letters into musical pitches using a
simple system of rotating the pitch names into the
alphabet. It is easy to figure out the method but not
necessary. You can hear it in the music.
Movement I: Just Carol
The first movement is based only on the name Carol.
Movement II: Carol Wincenc
The second movement is based on her first and last
names.
