| Program Notes | Zetabet is a musical-adventure show. A jazzy modern cross between a musical and an opera, Zetabet is told in nine short scenes which are joined together by a set of travelling/dance sequences. Using only two singers in its cast, a baritone and a soprano, the baritone acts as a quick change artist, playing six different character roles during the course of the adventure, while the soprano remains on stage throughout. Zetabet is highly visual. Dance, mime, surprise entrances and exits, wacky props and sight gags are all part of the action. The adventure takes us through jungles, deserts, and mountains, where we meet lots of zany and magical characters along the way. --Edward Barnes |
