The first trumpet part does not go above D in the staff, and the third part only goes down to A below middle C twice. The trio opens with a very short and simple eight measures of legato playing, and quickly moves into a moderate polka tempo and style. The polka begins with all playing the same rhythms, but branches into some independent rhythms. This is an excellent choice for a first trio experience in contest. |
