Program NotesTherefore Let Us Keep the Feast (2000) for contrabassoon and organ was written for and is dedicated to Jeanne Coonan (contrabassoonist with the Penfield Symphony Orchestra) and Robert Ferris (organist and choirmaster at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Rochester, New York).

The work is a contemplative liturgical meditation based on the Tonus peregrines fraction anthem for the Eucharist (Christ, our Passover, is sacrificed for us. Therefore, let us keep the feast). The work was originally conceived for a worship service although it would also be usable in a recital setting. --Carson Cooman
