| Marketing Copy | In the heart of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia lie two magnificent mountain peaks - Flat Top Peak and Sharp Top Peak, known as the Peaks of Otter. Evidence has been found at the Sharp Top indicating that it is one of oldest human habitats in eastern North America. A large piece of rock was carved out of this mountain in 1852 to become part of the Washington Monument. Having climbed to the top of Sharp Top, the composer was inspired by the spectacular view to present this musical depiction of that historic landmark. |
