A few of the flute caprices have been transposed or otherwise adapted to better suit the saxophone range and/ or technique. Throughout the collection is an emphasis on developing optional fingerings, in particular "side C". Overall, these caprices are excellent preparation for melodic, rhythmic and harmonic patterns common in early 20th Century music and beyond.
