Three children left their parents on a quiet, sunny beach to explore a curious boulder-like island. Tim and Cloe, ten year-old twins, and their daredevil cousin Chelsea, scamper through the sparkling shallow water, gleefully unaware of the strange and curious adventure about to take place. The waves gently lap as the children make their way towards the giant rock. Suddenly, ominous shapes appear in the water! The three scramble onto the rocky island and climb the steep crumbly surface to the top. The rocks are sharp and shift under their slippery feet! When they get to the top, Tim collapses onto a rock. Suddenly, they hear the sound of a rock falling. Tim discovers he is sitting on the mouth of a cavernous hole. The girls rush over to look in with him and spot a pair of RED EYES! Chelsea leads the way down into the hole, where they see the Red-eyed Creature. He is a glowing curious creature that enchants the children. They edge deeper into the cave until a sudden collapse of rocks seals the entrance. Cloe, Chelsea and Tim are trapped! They look around, spotting a glimmer of light and head for the crevice. One by one they squeeze through it and enter into an enormous crystal cavern. The place is sparkling with crystals, and the children are drawn to the huge crystal in the center. As they look closely at its faceted surface, faces and eyes appear through the surfaces and the children run in panic. Cloe and Chelsea run off in the same direction and find themselves at a dead end. They hug each other and wonder where Tim has gone. The two girls tiptoe off to find him. Meanwhile, Tim, running scared, stumbles and falls, catching himself on a crystal formation. A piece of crystal breaks off in his hand as he falls. The Red-eyed creature appears, wearing a smile and playfully grabs at the crystal in Tim's hand. Tim tries to stand up, but the creature is getting aggressive. The crystal speaks to Tim, like a radio in his head, "Watch out for the red-. eyed creature! I'm his prisoner, and you will be too!" The creature lunges toward him just as he hears the girls' footsteps approaching, The crystal in Tim's hand sounds the alarm, "Don't touch the water!" There is a trickle of water forming a puddle near Tim that the girls are bound to run into. He shouts out a warning to them, but it is too late. The girls turn into frozen crystals! Red Eyes is on the attack now, but Tim trips him and he lands in the puddle too! The red-eyed creature instantly crystallizes into a huge red obelisk that crashes through the roof of the cave. All the other crystals break open and people appear, including ancient explorers and unknown civilizations! Chelsea and Cloe lift Tim up in triumph. The three children return to the beach to tell their parents about their adventure. As the sun sets, a bright red flashes across the water.
